Upskilling Programs for Network Technicians
Amazon Says 30,000 Employees Have Used 'Upskilling' Program
Amazon said 30,000 of its workers have taken an interest in the organization's Career Choice program, which pays 95 per cent of the educational cost and expenses for skills training for a qualification sought after fields. The organization said it has spent $60 million on the "upskilling" program, which allows its bleeding-edge representatives to secure positions somewhere else.
Career Choice is one way we assist individuals with
considering their professions, and Amazon offering training over a wide variety
of skills required for appeal fields.
The retail giant has collaborated with 85 education partners
- including junior colleges - to offer credit pathways for a portion of its
educational cost-benefit and other skills training programs.
Amazon said the greater part of the workers who took an
interest in Career Choice was from underrepresented minority teams. The
program offers courses across 20 career paths, including PC support expert, web
developer, nurse, aeroplane specialist, business driver, paralegal/legal
assistant, IT security associate and network technician.
The organization in July 2019 said it would spend $700
million more than six years to retrain 100,000 of its employees for occupations
within the organization and beyond.
